6 November 2007

Domestic & General has announced the winning independent repairers in the Total Excellence and Quality Awards (TEQ) 2007. Over 3.5m questionnaires have been sent out in the ten years since the awards began and the survey, believed to be the largest of its kind, has given awards to independent repairers in kitchen appliances, home entertainment equipment and boiler and central heating repairs.

Over 3.5 million customers surveyed in ten years

TEQ is celebrating ten years of promoting excellence in customer service, having been established by specialist appliance plan provider, Domestic & General, in 1998. It is the largest independent survey of repair standards on domestic appliances and has surveyed around 3.5 million customers in the UK on all aspects of repair performance. Criteria include how politely and efficiently the initial call requesting the repair was handled and how efficient, punctual and courteous the repair engineer was whilst in the customer's home. The TEQ Awards have been widely credited with driving improved service standards throughout the repair industry.
