Domestic & General Wins Prestigious Trade Press Award

5 May 2010

Domestic & General has scooped Get Connected magazine's special award 2010 for the most Consistent and Effective Trade Communications Programme.

The magazine's annual awards celebrate the electrical industry's shining achievements over the previous 12-months, including retailing, manufacturing and best products categories. The special award for trade communications is voted for by readers, with the D&G trade comms programme beating runners up Sony, Samsung, GDHA and five other household name brands.

Get Connected magazine publisher, Terry Heath, commented: "Throughout a difficult year for the trade, D&G continued to invest in a sustained programme of training features, advertising, sponsorships, editorial contributions, and help and advice on selling warranties across a broad spectrum of the electrical and electronic trade press. D&G also produced an innovative, interactive and more accessible version of its well known training programme, moving for the first time from DVD to USB memory stick last year."

Marlinda Conway, Get Connected magazine's editor, added: "This continuing commitment, both to supporting the trade press and to delivering profit-generating commercial information to retailers, is an outstanding example of trade communications at their best, and has brought tangible benefits to the industry during challenging trading conditions."
