About the job:
The main responsibilities concern pricing and profitability analysis. The candidate must be keen, responsible and willing to adapt. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a high pressure environment essential.
Tasks:
- Quote prices and terms for extended warranty business in the UK and the rest of Europe.
- Monitor overall client profitability.
- Monitor individual products for underwriting and administration profitability.
- Maximise product profitability through innovation.
- Review and agree contract and plan wordings where applicable.
- Review all schemes on an annual basis and present recommendations to clients.
- Ensure scheme administration processes are detailed and all associated costs are included within the pricing structure
- Recommend initiatives to other departments and work through proposals in order to maintain quality and profitability.
- Maximise use of and develop I.T. systems and reporting
Experience Needed:
- Good technical skills required.
- Candidate should possess a mature and authoritative approach to work.
- Previous underwriting or financial role preferred.
- Knowledge of insurance market place useful.
- Knowledge of Cognos/Adaytum budgeting model useful.
- Client presentational skills an advantage
Qualifications:
Numerical Degree or Insurance/Financial qualifications an advantage.
