Ethics Policy

Domestic & General Group Holdings Limited and its subsidiaries (together "Domestic & General" or "the Company") are committed to ensuring that our business is run in a proper, reasonable and ethical way. This means that all Company decisions must be made for good and justifiable business reasons, honestly and in accordance with all applicable codes, laws and regulations.

We uphold the principle that customers, clients, shareholders and colleagues are entitled to expect the highest standards of conduct from employees. We are responsible to our employees and everyone is treated as an individual in a fair, reasonable and proper manner. Employment is based on mutual trust and respect where everyone is treated with dignity and recognised on their merit with equal opportunity for employment, development and advancement. Everyone must have a sense of security in their jobs and we must provide competent management whose actions must be just and ethical.

When any employee at whatever level enters into a contract of employment, they have certain obligations to fulfil. These include certain and implied duties as follows:

  • A duty of co-operation - to serve the employer faithfully and to act in a loyal manner and in the best interests of the Company;
  • A duty to obey reasonable lawful orders;
  • A duty to exercise reasonable care and skill;
  • A duty not to accept bribes or secret commission;
  • A duty not to disclose confidential information; and
  • A duty not to work for a competitor.

Employees are requested to exercise the highest level of integrity in actions and relationships which may affect the Company. Their actions should be such as to withstand scrutiny without causing actual or potential harm or embarrassment either to the Company, the employee or any other party (including our clients, suppliers and contractors).
